OVERVIEW

A compact but incredibly diverse park at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, famous for tree-climbing lions, flamingo-filled lake shores, and lush groundwater forests.

Overview

Lake Manyara National Park covers about 330 km² and features a mix of dense forest, open savannah, and a shallow alkaline lake. The dramatic Rift Valley wall rises above the park, creating one of the most scenic safari landscapes in Tanzania.
