Lake Manyara National Park is a compact yet diverse park at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, known for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos on the soda lake, and lush forests. It’s a perfect stop on a northern Tanzania safari circuit.

Overview

Lake Manyara National Park spans about 330 km², including a shallow alkaline lake, groundwater forests, and acacia woodlands. The park lies between the Rift Valley wall and the lake, providing dramatic scenery and a rich variety of habitats for wildlife.
