The Chemka Hot Springs (also known as Kikuletwa Hot Springs) are nestled in the Kilimanjaro region and a fantastic day-trip from Arusha or Moshi. It’s a natural geothermal pool set amidst palms and jungle, with shimmering turquoise water, jumping ropes, tubing and relaxing in a serene environment.
Your driver/guide picks you up from your Arusha hotel around 8:00 AM and drives toward Chemka Hot Springs. Enjoy scenic countryside views en route. Arrival mid-morning gives you plenty of time to explore the springs.
Immerse yourself in the pristine turquoise water surrounded by palms. Go for a swim, enjoy rope-swinging, floating or simply relaxing by the water. A picnic lunch is served on the bank of the springs.
Spend the afternoon at your leisure – swim further, explore under-water roots, possibly tube down the stream or simply take in the jungle tranquillity. Then the vehicle returns you to Arusha in the late afternoon.
Transfers can be arranged between the airport, Arusha/Moshi, between hotels, restaurants and attractions, either on a seat-in-coach basis, or the private hire of an entire vehicle.
