Day 1 — Tour Itinerary – Lake Chala Day Tour

Morning
Depart early from Moshi or Arusha and enjoy a scenic drive towards the border area near Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive at Lake Chala and take in the first views of the stunning turquoise crater lake.

Midday
Begin a guided walk along the crater rim, learning about the unique volcanic landscape, local flora, and birdlife. Descend toward the lakeshore for relaxation, photography, and optional activities like kayaking (if available). Enjoy a picnic lunch in the peaceful natural surroundings.

Afternoon
